Reading this put a smile on my face😊. My mother turned 90 last July. The onset of elderly dementia has been heartbreaking to witness and to interact with. She has persistent vertigo and congestive heart failure issues also. Driving her to a recent medical appointment, James Taylor's version of How Sweet It Is came on the radio. Looking in the rear-view mirror and watching her swaying her head to the music and being able to seemingly escape her the pain from her ailments for a brief time helped to amplify just how healing and powerfully transportive music can be.
