My book on basketball, Elevating the Game, was just launched in time for the NBA finals. It is a history of black men in basketball that looks extensively at black college basketball and its role in birthing the modern game.
Also on Audible are two of my award winning music history books: Where Did our Love Go?: The Rise and Fall of the Motown Sound, and The Death of Rhythm & Blues, which looks at the interplay of black music’s evolution and the institutions that evolved along side it, particularly radio, retail and concert promotion.
The fourth title is One Woman Short, an Essence bestseller when released in the early ‘90s, which is the tale of a publicist in Los Angeles who makes a list of all his lovers in a search for true love.
More of my work will be appearing as audio books through the end of the year so, now many that people are driving to work again, please consider these for you automobile playlist.
