Today is my birthday, so here’s a bit of shameless promotion for my catalog of music books. It’s not comprehensive (I actually forgot a few!) but it gives a sense of my journey as a critic and historian with my latest project , The Nelson George Mixtape Volume 2 - a 40 page zine of hip hop articles and memories - the latest addition. It’s being published independently via www.pacificpacific.pub for $18. In an era of media consolidation, its been fun to do limited editions of my past work, something I started with the Nelson George Mixtape Volume 1, which was inspired by doing this Substack.
