To celebrate independence day I'm posting six episodes of a very indie project I made back in 2010 on YouTube. They’ll be dropping every thirty minutes between now and 3pm. Left Unsaid is the story of a social media organized Sunday brunch in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Over the course of 12 episodes various women argue, counsel, and gossip with each other about life, love and whether Tupac is really dead. The first six episodes are dropping today. The first ep, Dear Stranger, is inspired by a song written by Bridget Barkan, who I'd worked with on the HBO film Everyday People. Lots of friends contributed to this including Belinda Becker, Norisol Ferrari, Mina Joo, Tigist Selam, Ashley Avis, Chyna Layne, Laura Sinnott, Nicole Nelch, and many more.
The series was written and created because a) I’d just broken up with my girlfriend b) I’d moved into a big apartment next to Fort Greene Park c) I knew a community of actresses who’d been underutilized and were looking to experiment.
I’ll drop the remaining six episodes after Midnight in NYC time.
